Oh, Spring, I’m so happy you’re here. I adore the lighter evenings, the leaves and blossom on the trees, the singing birds, the reasonable excuse to wear sunglasses.
What I don’t love, however, is the breeze. My god, spring is breez-y.
Just when you start to think that summer is on its way and it’s okay to get your legs out, showcase that newly waxed under-arm, and wear sandals without socks on, the cute spring-chill reminds you; ‘No hun. Put your vest back on’.
Out come the jumpers again, and these are my current three favourite affordable spring knitwear trends. all of which probably need to go in the wash now because they have been getting a LOT of wear this past couple of chilly weeks.

This zebra jumper was possibly the best impulse buy I’ve ever made. It has a TAIL! I love pairing it with black jeans or layering it over jumpsuits and denim skirts. It’s super warm and cozy (I sized up) but is light enough to not feel like an Eskimo.
Exaggerated sleeves are gracing the shops in every single way; on tops, t-shirts, blouses, jackets, dresses, and jumpers.
This tied-sleeve jumper from River Island has been one of my most worn items in March and April and is super light and looks sassy AF with statement trousers, a mini gingham skirt or with a classic blue jean.
Nope, they’re not gone yet. Ruffles are slowly, but very very surely taking over the fashion world at the moment and I am A-OK with that.
I spotted this cardigan in H&M in Cardiff a month ago and was almost dragged kicking and screaming out of the shop by my very anti-ruffle boyfriend. He just doesn’t understand. I bought the cardigan and braced myself for the ‘you have too many clothes’ rant.
So that’s a round-up of my most worn knitwear for these deceivingly sunny days. Pair any one of these with a set of fancy sunglasses and put your boss-girl face on.
